I. Language focus 1 - Page 86:
In order to / so as to + V: để.
In order not to / so as not to + V: để đừng (dạng phủ định)
đưuợc dùng trong mệnh đề chỉ mục đích (clauses of purpose)
Example:
Lan gets up early everyday. She wants to go to school on time.
-> Lan gets up early everyday in order to / so as to go to school on time.
2. I try to learn English hard. I don`t want to fail the final exam.
-> I try to learn English hard in order not to / so as not to fail the final exam.

II. The simple future tense:
1. Form:

2. The use:
- Dùng để duưưa ra lời phỏng đoán hay những điều mà chúng ta nghĩ sẽ xảy ra trong tưuưương lai. Will là một động từ khuyết thiếu nên các động từ theo sau nó phải ở nguyên dạng.
Eg: I think it will rain.
I will be at home all day tomorrow.
3. Will đặc biệt thuưưường dùng trong một số truưưường hợp sau:
a. Offer: (tình nguyện, sẵn lòng)
I will drive you to the station.
I will make you a cup of coffee.
b. Requests: (Yêu cầu)
- Will you close the door, please?
Will you post the letter, please?
c. Promise: (Lời hứa)
- Thank you for lending me some books. I will pay you back soon.
3. Language focus 2 on page 86:
Ex: Complete the dialogue, use the correct word or short form:

Ex1: Combine the following sentences, using the word in the backet.

-> You have to wear warm clothes in order not to catch a cold.

7. Mrs.Hien decided to give up her job. She wanted to have more time with her children. (in order to)
-> Mrs.Hien decided to give up her job in order to have more time with her children.
8. He locked the door. He wanted nobody to disturb him. (so that)
-> He locked the door so that nobody can disturb him.
9. Mr.Tam saves money. He wants to do an MA course aboard. (so that)
-> Mr.Tam saves money so that he wants to do an MA course aboard.
10. He hurried up to the station. He didn’t want to miss the train. (so as to)
-> He hurried up to the station so as not to miss the train.
