How many ways of learning new words are there in the passage?
What are they?
There are four:
- Make a list and put into it the meanings of new words in their mother tongue and try to learn them by heart.
- Write one or two example sentences with each new word in order to remember how to use the word in the right way.
- Write each word and its use on a small piece of paper and stick it some where in their house so as to learn it at any time.
- Underline or highlight only important words.

Do you learn new words in different ways?
* I have a little notebook, and write the new words two or three times a week. I
write the English words first and then the translation, and short sentences as
examples. I try to learn ten new words a day.
* I have a picture dictionary. It is good for learning words in groups, you know,
Jobs, the names of all things in the living room like: chair, table, floor, . But I
don`t know how to pronounce the words.
* I have a little cassette recorder, and after each lesson I record onto the tape the
sentences that have the new words. Then when I am going to school I can listen to
them.
