Lesson 7. LOOKING BACK AND PROJECT

I./. Objectives
By the end of the lesson, students can:
use the lexical items related to the topic “My neighborhood”.
Use adjectives to compare things.
Talk about different places and show directions to these in a neighborhood
Write a description of their ideal neighborhood.
II./. Content.
Vocabulary: words related to the topic “My neighborhood”
Structure: Making suggestions.
III./. Teaching aids.
- book, planning, picture, laptop, projector …
IV./. Procedure
Class organization.
- Greeting.
- Checking attendance: 6E2

Contents

I. Warm up

-Describe in your neighborhood
- T. divides class into six groups.
- Ss work in groups and describe their neighborhood.
- Students of groups go to the board and describe their neighborhood.



II. Presentation
1. Activity 1: Write the correct for each picture.
- Tell Ss to write the words in their notebooks individually and then check with their partners. then correct the mistakes. Let them repeat the words. Check their pronunciation.

_ Ask Ss read the sentences carefully and complete them with the adjectives they have learnt in Unit 4. Remind them that the words, phrases and sentences before and after the blends will provide the context for them to choose the correct adjectives.
III. Practice

-For these ex, ask Ss to do them individually first. then they can check their answers with a partner before discussing the answers as a class. However, tell Ss to keep a record of their original answers so they can
use that information in their Now you can......statements.

-T elicits the language being practiced in this activity



Act 4. write their comparative form in the table.

Ss work in pairs to complete the dialogue

T. checks SS’ answers
Ss read the questions and answer once or twice( they read them aloud). Then match them. If there is time, have them write their notebooks.

- Ss work in pair and role plays the questions and answers.
Finished! Finally ask Ss to complete the self assessment. Identify any difficulties and weak areas and provide further practice.








IV. Production
T ask ss look at the picture of two neighbourhoods in ss` book, point out the tipical features of them.
- SS work in groups to discuss their ideal neighbourhood, using the pictures and their imagination.( if have time)
- Correct and give marks




V. Homework.


Describe in your neighborhood.
Eg
I live in a small house in the countryside, this is a beautiful place. Near my house there are a lot of tall trees, a river and a large paddy field. It’s very quiet and peaceful. I like it very much and I often fly kite with my friends on the field in the afternoon.
