Lesson 6. Skill 2.
I./. Objectives
By the end of the lesson, students can:
use the lexical items related to the topic “My neighborhood”.
Use adjectives to compare things.
Talk about different places and show directions to these in a neighborhood

Vocabulary: words related to the topic “My neighborhood”
Structure: Making suggestions.

Contents
I. Warm up
T. hangs the picture on the board and ask Ss to work in pairs to ask and answer the way to the places in the picture.
Ss go to the board, show the picture and practice before class.
II. Presentation
* Pre listening.
- T. gives some new words
- Ss read vocab in chorus
Rub out and remember
Act 1
Ss look at the photos on page 45 and guess words to fill in the blanks.
* While listening.
Ss listen to the record and fill the correct words in the blanks.
Ss listen and give the correct answer.
Act 2.
T. play record again and ask Ss to match the word in the box with the suitable place in the picture.
III. Practice
Act 3.
Ss work in pairs and using the list on page 45, ask and answer about a neighborhood.
Act 4. Ss work in pairs and make notes about their neighborhood.
Act 5
* Writing
T. asks Ss to write a paragraph about their neighborhood, saying what they like or dislike.
Ss work in groups and use the suggestion to write paragraph.
T. calls two Ss to the board and correct.
IV. Production
Each group has a student stick their answer on the board and all class correct
T. checks Ss’ answers
- Correct and give marks
V. Homework.
Ask and answer the way.
* Vocabulary.
- supermarket : siêu thị
- art gallery : phòng trưng bày NT
- stranger : người lạ
T: Where is the supermarket?
