Lesson 1. Getting started
I./. Objectives
By the end of the lesson, students can:
use the lexical items related to the topic “My friends”.
Use the vocabulary and structure about body parts, appearance, and personality.
Use the present continuous to talk about future plans and arrangements.
Identify and practice the language of the polite requests

I. Warm up
T. asks Ss to look at the picture in student’s book and ask them talk about what are happening in the picture.
Ss work in groups and discuss the picture.
II. Presentation
* Vocabulary.
T. elicits words from Ss
Rub out and remember
Task 1.
- T. play record and asks Ss to listen task 1
- Ss look at the book on P 26 and listen the conversation carefully.
Ss listen and work in pairs to complete 1a. P 26.
T. asks Ss to refer back to the conversation to find the phrases.
Ss work in pairs to practice saying together.
T. encourage Ss to extend the conversation.
III. Practice
Task 2.
T. divides class into two groups
Ss play game. “Lucky number”
T. explains how to play the game.
Task 3.
- Ss practice saying the adjectives.
- Ss read adjectives.
- T. plays the recording to allow Ss to check their answers.
IV. Production
Task 4.
Ss completes the sentences
V. Homework.
Look at the picture and commend it.
