Lesson 6. Skills 2
I./. Objectives
By the end of the lesson, students can:
use the lexical items related to the topic “My friends”.
Use the vocabulary and structure about body parts, appearance, and personality.
Listen for specific ideas.
Write an entry for a magazine using notes.
II./. Content.
Vocabulary: Vocabulary of activities on holidays.
Structure: the present continuous to talk about future plans and arrangements
III./. Teaching aids.

Class organization.
- Greeting.

I. Warm up
Play a game: “Lucky number” .
T. uses the pictures on page 33 and asks Ss to give the name of each picture.
Ss read words.
II. Presentation
* Pre listening.
- T. give some new words
- Ss read vocb in chorus
Rub out and remember
Act 1
Ss look at the photos on page 33 and choose the words in the box to fill in the table.
* While listening.
Ss listen to the tape and choose the correct answer.
T. asks Ss to listen and try to arrange the furniture in the correct place.
Ss listen and give the correct answer.
III. Practice
Act 2.
Ss work in pairs and refer to the content of the advertisement. Talk about the activities are more likely to happen at the camp and which are not. Then explain why they think so.
Act 3. Ss listen to the record and fill in the table.
T. plays the record two times
Ss listen to the record and write the answers.
T. corrects.
* Writing
T. explains the ‘Study skills’
Act 4
Ss work in groups and use the suggestion to write for 4Teen magazine about your plans this weekend with your friends on A3 papers
IV. Production
Each group has a student stick their answer on the board and all class correct
T. checks Ss’ answers
- Correct and give marks
V. Homework.
