Exercise 1: Group or classify the things in picture (p. 91)
Which group do clothes belong to ?
Put them in “ fabric”.
Which group does the bottle belong to ?
Put it in “glass”.
Which group do/ does…… belong to ?
Put it/them in “ …..”

Work with the partner. Fill in the table.
Exercise 2: Mapped dialogue
- Which group do clothes belong to?
-Put them in fabric.
-What can we do with those clothes?
-We can recycle them and make them into paper or shopping bags
-Is fruit ‘vegetable matter’?
- That’s right.
-What will we do with it?
- We make it in to compose and fertilize our field.

Don’t throw things away and find another use for them! REDUCE ==> less garbage.
REUSE ==> use an item more than once.

RECYCLE ==> turn an item into another useful item.

Game: who is faster

Collect the correct real things as the instruction

Try to find out the other use(s) for the trash as many as you can.
1 mark for each correct idea.
