3. Model sentences : Passive Form of the present simple
Examples:
- Car tires are recycled to make pipes and floor coverings.
Compost is made from household and garden waste .
a. Form: S + Be (am/is/are) + the past participle.
b. Use: We use a passive verb to say what happens to the subject. When we use
the passive, who or what causes the action is often unknown or unimportant.
