TET

Tet is the most vital celebration for vietnamse people.It is a festival occurs in late January or early February. It is time for family member who live apart try to be toghether.

Tet is also the most valuable time for me to come back home and enjoy the happy family atmosphere.Before Tet , I often go to the market with my mother to buy some food and new beautiful clothes for all my family members.I also help my mom clean and decorate our home with beautiful calenders and posters.We often cook some special food such as bang, a bamboo and pork soup; bang chung, a sticky rice cake filled with pork and beans; and orange sticky rice on the kitchen gold day december 23 rd when we farewell to THAN TAO to the sky.The time for all my family members to gather is On December 26th, 27th and 28th . And on december 30th , we hold an annual banquet.We always treasure the time when we greet the first second of the new year’s eve , praying sessionsto god and ancestors together. First- footing is made when the first visistor comes and I am given lucky money wrapped in a red tiny envelops. The first day of Tet ,I often stay at home because it is reserved for visiting family and relatives. The second day is set aside for special guests and close friends to visit.And the third day is for teachers and business associates to make a visit, so I often visit my relatives and my teachers. Two days after , my family and I often go to beautiful resorts in vietnam such as Vung Tau or Dalat. In conclution, Tet is the most valuable time to me.

Not only is Tet the beginning of a New Year, it is also everyone`s birthdaywhich I always treasure.
