Like Y&Y, the Boy Scouts of American (BSA) is a youth organization. It builds character and encourages good citizenship and personal fitness. Scouting began in England in 1907 and cross the Atlantic in 1910. Although scouting is mainly for boys, there are oganizations similar to the BSA which girls can join. The Girl Guides Association and the coeducational Camp Fire Boy and Girl, both of which started in 1910, are two such groups.
