Lesson 12: How to use Free Transform tool in Flash CS3
Lesson 12: How to use Free Transform tool in Flash CS3 - You can use the Free Transform tool in Flash to rotate, skew, scale,distort, and envelope objects, thus creating new shapes to use in your animations and Flash movies. The Free Transform tool includes four modifier tools: Rotate and Skew, Scale, Distort, and Envelope. You can apply the Rotate and Skew and the Scale modifiers to objects you create or import. You can apply the Distort and Envelope modifiers to objects you draw in Flash.

B. Read it and do it 1. Modify Objects with the Free Transform Tool - How to scale an object
Step 1: - Select the object you want to resize. Step 2: - Click the Free Transform tool. Note: You can also click Modify, Transform, Free Transform.Flash surrounds the object with edit points, Step 3: - Click the Scale modifier . Step 4: - Click and drag a handle to scale the object. + Click and drag corner handles to resize the object but maintain its proportions. + Click and drag middle handles to stretch or compress an object, distorting its shape. Step 5: - Release the mouse button. Flash resizes the object.
2. Modify Objects with the Free Transform Tool - Distort an Object
Step 1: - Select the object you want to distort. Step 2: - Click Free Transform tool. Flash surrounds the object with handles. Step 3: - Click the Distort modifier. Step 4: - Click and drag a handle to distort the object. Step 5: - Release the mouse button. Flash distorts the object. 3. How do I set a precise size? If you need to size an object to a precise measurement, click Window, Info to open theInfo panel. Here you can set a precise size for the object using the width (W) and height (H) text boxes. Simply type the measurement you want, and press Enter to see the changes take effect. What happens if I resize an item beyond the Stage? In some cases, the object you resize may reach beyond the Stage area. Not to worry, because the object is still there. You may need to zoom out to see the object. You can move the item back onto the Stage or resize the Stage to fit the larger object. Any part of the object that hangs off the Stage is still considered in the work area; however, the part may not be visible when you play your Flash movie.
