Lesson 10 : Using Lasso tool to select irregular objects In Flash CS3
Lesson 10 : Using Lasso tool to select irregular objects In Flash CS3 - Today, in this lesson, http://lessonflash.com will help you using the Lasso tool to select irregular objects or multiple objects scattered on the Stage. The Lasso tool draws a freehand “rope” around the item you want to select. This allows you to select an oddly shaped object or just a small portion of an object. If you make a mistake and lasso a part of the drawing you do not want to select, click anywhere on-screen and try again.

B. Read it and do it 1. How to Lasso an object Step 1: - To select an irregularly shaped object, click the Lasso tool . When you move Selection tool over the Stage area, it changes to Lasso tool . . Step 2: - Click and drag the lasso around the object until you reach the point where you started. Note: When working with multiple layers, click the layer containing the object you want to select, and then click the object. Step 3: - Release the mouse button. Flash highlights anything inside the lasso shape. 2. Select part of an object Step 1: - Click Selection tool or Lasso tool. You can click Selection tool for simple shapes or lines. You can click Lasso tool for irregularly shaped objects. Step 2: - Click and drag the pointer to surround the object part you want to select. Step 3: - Release the mouse button. Everything inside the area you dragged over is selected. 3. How can I select complex shapes? Drawing around irregular items with the Lasso tool can be difficult. For additional help, use the Lasso tool’s Polygon Mode modifier. Click Lasso tool and then click the Polygon Mode modifier button ( ) in the Modifier Tray at the bottom of the Tools panel. Now click your way around the object you want to select. Every click creates a connected line to the last click. To turn off the Polygon Mode, double-click. 4. How do I select just a fill and not its border? Using the Selection tool, simply click the fill to select it. To select both the fill and the fill’s border, double-click the fill. To deselect a fill or border at any time, just click anywhere outside the selected object.
