- LOOKING BACK AND PROJECT-
I. AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:
+ Language content:
- To help Ss revise : - some words relating to sports and games .
-present, past simple and present continuous tense.
- Imperatives.
+Language function:
- By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to apply the vocabulary and the grammar structures learnt to talk about some sports and games and write about a game they know.
+ Educational aim:
- To educate Ss how interesting, useful sports and games are.
1.Language:
a) Vocabulary: ( revised words: some words relating to sports and games )
b) Structures: -present, past simple and present continuous tense.
- Imperatives.
2.Skills: Integrated skills
3. Method : Communicative approach
4.Techniques /activities: picture quiz, jumbled words, run for a flag, lucky letter, mind map, group work............
5. Materials needed: Textbook, laptop, ......
II. PROCEDURES IN CLASS:
1. Stabilization: (1m)
- Greeting.
- Checking absence: Who`s absent today ?
2. Checking up the previous knowledge: ( No checking up )
Has Ss listen to an English song and tell what the song is about . (2ms) (Game TUG OF WAR )
3. New lesson:( 42ms)

I.LEAD-IN + PRE -PRACTICE :
-Has Ss play the game PICTURE QUIZ
-Asks Ss to give the key words ( LOOKING BACK AND PROJECT )
-Tells the aim of the lesson to Ss : Today , we`ll revise some words on Sports and Games, the uses of present, past and present continuous tenses, Imperatives, and talk about some traditional games.
II.CONTROLLED-PRACTICE:
Vocabulary
-Has Ss do exercises 1,2 by having them play the game: RUN FOR A FLAG
-Divides the class into 3 groups :
+ G1: Reads the words
+ G2,G3 : Do the tasks to run for the flag.
-Gives the keys :
Activity 1: Find one odd word or phrase in each line :
Key:
1.C 2.A 3.D 4.C 5.B
Activity 2: Read the four words in each line .Write the name of the game or sport the four words belong to.
Example : pool, breaststroke, dive, float: swimming
Key: 1. cycling 2. football 3. boxing 4. table tennis 5. basketball
Sets the linking steps: We`ve just revised some words on sports and games . Now, please tell me :
1.Which sports do you play ?
2.Did you play it last week ?
3.Which tenses were used in question 1 and 2 ? ( PRESENT AND PAST SIMPLE TENNSE )
→ We move to another exercise : TENSES in GRAMMAR
-Has Ss do JUMBLED WORDS :
1.yeevr( every )
2.delh ( held )

4.deartst ( started )
5.nwo ( now )
6.tlsa ( last )
7.deccyl ( cycled )
-Reminds Ss of the forms of some tenses from above marks .
-Has Ss do exercise 3 in groups.
