Teacher:
Before you read
- Books closed , T. shows a picture of a school in the
break time and asks some questions :
1. Where are they ?
2. Can you guess what they are talking about ?
3. Which topics do S. often talk about ?

- T. holds students to sit in groups of 4 or 5.
- T. writes the word “ SCHOOL “ on the
board , then has S. give words concerned ( eg.
Teachers , subjects , students , kinds of school... )
- T instructs S. read the new words on the
board .

While you read
Task 1
- T. explains the aim of Task 1
- T. instructs S. to skim for general information and guess the meaning of the words in the box then fill each blank .
- T. has S. do the group work
- T. goes around to help .
- T. corrects

Task 2
- T. explains the purpose of Task 2 :
- T. has S. reread the text to find out who says the
sentences
- T. goes around to help .
- T. corrects .

Task 3
- T. has S. read the questions then answer them
- T. goes around to help .
- T. corrects .




After you read
- Books closed S . remain in their original groups and
talk about their subjects
What subjects you like / dislike ? Why ?
What do you worry about at school ?

Task 1
+ S . sit in groups of 3 or 4 , books open

to open and end the conversation

the conversation . Then S. place them under the

then in groups .

Task 2
- T. has S. rearrange the following sentences to
make an appropriate conservation .
- T. has S.do the task by themselves , then in groups.

Task 3
- T. has S. complete the conversation with suitable
words or phrases .
- T. asks S. to skim the sentences to find out the
meaning of new words .
- After checking , T. has S. practise it with a partner

Task 4
- T. divides the class into 4 groups . Each groups do
a topic . They make small talk on the following
topics using the starting and ending of
