UNIT1 MY FRIENDS
Lesson1: -Listen and read
Period 2nd : -Language focus 1
I. Aims & objectives:
+ Language content:
To help the students know more about Hoa, Lan, Nien
To enable them to use the present simple and the past simple tenses.
+ Language function:
To help the students how to greet people, identify and introduce someone..
To tell about their ability
+ Educational aim:
To make them aware of the importance of friendship.
Language:
Vocabulary : seem, a next – door neighbor, enough, to look like . . .
Structures :-The present simple
The past simple tenses
-Adj + enough + to-inf
Skills: listening, reading, and writing
Educational factor:
Making friends with any Ss in school or class.
II. Teacher’s and students’ preparation:
1. Method: Communicative approach.
2. Techniques: using pictures, pairwork, explaination, asking & answering.
3. Material needed: Text book, picture, cassette, tape. .
4.Students’preparation: Vocabulary & pictures.
5.Teacher’s preparation:-lesson plan

III.Procedures
Stabilization:2ms
+ a. Warm up: Greetings. (Good morning, class./ How are you? )
+ b. Checking the absence: Who is absent today?
Checking up the previous knowledge.

IWarm-up:
*Pelmanism
-Prepares 12 cards with numbers on one side and the verbs on the other.
-Makes sure the verbs are mixed up. Stick the cards on the board so Ss can noly see the nembers.
-Divides Ss into 2 teams and asks them to choose 2 numbers.
Turns the cards over, if they match:
Ex: run-ran;that team gets one mark
- If not, turnthe cards over again and asks the next team
-Continues until all the cards are finished
II.Prepractice:
-Teaches vocabulary


-Checks their memory by rubing out and remembering
-Gives them some pre-questions, then asks to work in pairs to answer.



III.While-Practice:
-Turns on the tape twice

- Asks them to practise the dialogues in pairs.
-Calls some Ss to present in front of the class
-Checks the pre questions.



-Asks them to read the dialogue again to answer the comprehension questions
-Explains the difficult phrases .
-Asks them to work in pairs: asking and answering the questions
-Calls some couples to practise
-Writes the answers on the b/b

IV. Post-Practice:
-Has them do the gap filling by using the present simple and the past simple tenses
-Calls some Ss to do








-Checks
V.Consolidation:
-Reminds them the main points








-Choose 2 numbers, turn over and see if they march.
-Continue until all the cards are finished
