I . Aims and Objectives:
_ Language content:To introduce the students new words and structures relating to the topic “Big or Small”.
_ Language funtion: By the end of the lesson,the students will be able to ask and answer a thing’s position and characteristics and the possesion of a noun.
_ Educational aim: To educate the students to love their school.
1.Language :
a.Vocabulary: School,Country,City,Big,Small.
b. Structures: + Where is Phong’s school?
+ It is in the country/city.
+ It’s small.
2. Skills: Integrated skills
3. Educational factor:
_Knowing how to ask and answer about things in their house.
II . Teacher and Students’Preparation :
1. Method: Communication approach
2. Techniques: Questions And Answers, Using Pictures,Realia,Explaination,Matching
3. Students’ preparation: New lesson Unit 4: Big or small-A-Where is your school? (A1,2)

UNIT4: BIG OR SMALL
A_WHERE IS YOUR SCHOOL?(A1,2)
I. Lead-in:
_Sets the scene:
+Shows the pictures in the book (page 44) and asks the students:
+ What are they?
+ Which is bigger?
_Introduces the content of the lesson.
II. Pre-Practice:
_Teaches new words:
+School (n) [Picture]
+Country(n) [Picture]
+City (n) [Picture]
+Big (a) [Realia]
+Small (a) [Realia]
_Checks the students’ understanding of numbers ,using “Matching”
_Introduces the students the way of asking and answering a thing’s position.
+ Where is +S ?
+ It is in the country/city.
Example: Where is your school?
It is in the country.
_Introduces the students the possesion of a noun.
+ Noun’s noun
Example: Thu’s school.
+Possesive pronoun +Noun
Example: Her school.
III. Controlled-Practice:
A1._Has the students listen to the tape (A1) and focus on pronunciation and stress.
_Asks the students to listen and repeat.
_Has the students practise A1.
_Calls some students to practise before the class.
_Corrects their mistakes if necessary.
A2_Asks the students to work in pairs to ask and answer the questions in A2 by using the information in A1.
_Calls some students to read their answers before the class
