Lesson 1: Getting started & listen and read
I Aims:
-By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to listen and read the dialogue of chores at home.
-To develop listening and reading skills.
-To educate Ss to have habit of doing the chores at home.
II. Language content:
-Reflexive pronouns.
-Modals.
III. Teaching method:
-Pairs work, groups work, intensive reading and communicative method.
IV. Teaching aids:
- Lesson plan E.8, textbook, pictures, sub.board, tape and cassette...
V.Procedure:
Teacher’s activities
1. Getting started.(7’)
T asks Ss to look at the six pictures on page 27. Then write the chores they often do at home.
T comments and corrects the mistakes to Ss.
2. Listen and read.(33’)
2.1 Pre- reading
T sets the scene to Ss.
T supplies vocabulary on the board to Ss
T lets Ss practice reading vocab in groups ,
indiviually.
2.2. While-reading.
T plays the cassette twice.
T asks Ss to listen to the tape carefully.
T lets Ss read the dialogue silently.
T asks Ss to work in pairs to do the exercise 2 on page 28.
T comments and corrects the mistakes to Ss.
2.3 Post- reading
T asks Ss to practice reading the dialogue aloud in front of class.
3. Consolidation and homework (5’)
T asks Ss to reread the dialogue at home
T asks Ss to prepare new lesson: Lesson 2.
Speak & listen and do the exercises in workbook
Students’ activities
Ss: Look at the pictures
Ss: Work in pairs.
Picture:
She washes the dishes.
She makes in bed.
She sweeps the floor.
She cooks the meal.
She cleans the table / tidies up
She feeds the chicken.

Work in pairs to do the exercise 2 on page 28.
1. Practice the dialogue with a partner.
2. Read the dialogue again. Complete the lists of the things Nam has to do.

call his aunt
ask her to meet his mother at grandma’s house.
Ss : Read the dialogue aloud in front of class.
-Do as T’s requests.

-To educate Ss’ duties of tidying the house.

-Simple present tense.
-Reflexive pronouns, prepositions of place.
III. Teaching method:
-Pairs work, groups work, communicative method.
IV. Teaching aids:
Lesson plan E.8, textbook, sub.board, pictures.

* Chatting
T asks Ss some questions about the furniture in the classroom.

T asks Ss to look at the pictures on pages 28,29.
T supplies the prepositions of place to Ss.
