UNIT 2: AT SCHOOL
Lesson 1: A – COME IN
I. Aims and objectives:
* Language content:
- To introduce some new words relating to school and classroom.
- To help the sts to master the way using imperative.
* Language function:
- To help the sts to listen to perform the teacher command.
* Educational aim:
- To make the sts aware of the commands which is use in classroom.
1. Language:
a. Vocabulary: - come in, sit down, stand up, open your book.
b. Structures: - V + O .
2. Skills: - Integrated skills
3. Educational factor:
To make the sts aware of the importance of regulations in the class.
II Teacher and students` preparation:
1. Method : -Communicative approach
2. Techniques: -Repetition, game, explanation, pair work, group work.
3. Materials needed: -Cassette player, chalk, board
4. Students` preparation:
- Learn the old lesson well before going to the class
5. Previous exercises: The exercise C in the exercise book from page 8 to 11
III/ Procedure in class:
1/ Stabilization (2 ms):
a. Warm up: -Asks the students about the weather
b. Checking absence: -Asks the monitor about the absence
“Who is absent to day?”
2/ Checking up the previous knowledge ( 5 ms)
Questions:
-Lets the students play the game “ NOUGHTS and CROSSES”.
-Has the sts practice in pairs by asking and answering about the age basing on the result below.

-Asks the sts to look at the pictures¸ and guess What teacher requires for each picture.
-Introduces the new lesson “To day we ‘ll study some commands are used in the class.“
II/ Pre Practice:
-Teaches new words and phrases:
1 - come in : (mime)
2 - sit down : ( mime)
3 - open ( mime)
4 - close : ( mime)
5 - book
6 - your
7 - stand up : ( mime)
-Checks understanding of new words and phrases by matching the pictures with imperative sentences.
III/ Controlled Practice :
-Has the sts listen to the tape twice.
-Asks some sts to go to the board to perform.
-Explains the way to do EX2.
-Asks the sts to practice with their partners to put the imperative sentences into the suitable pictures.
-Shows five pictures on the board and asks sts to write the command for each picture.
-Corrects their mistakes
IV/ Free Practice:
-Asks the students to play the game ”.Simon says”
V/ Consolidation:
-Has the students match the words in column A with the words in column B
