UNIT 5: THINGS I DO.
Lesson 1: A- MY DAY.
(A1, 2 )
I. Aims and objectives:
* Language content:
To introduce some new words relating to daily action.
To enable the sts to use the present simple tense with the ordinary verbs and question words.
* Language function:
To encourage the sts to talk about their daily activities ask whether they do the activities or not.
* Educational aim:
- To make the sts aware of the importance about daily activities.
1. Language:
a. Vocabulary: - play games, do homework, every day, every morning, every afternoon, every evening.
b. Structures:
-What does Nga do everyday?
(She gets up at 6.
2. Skills: - Integrated skills
3. Educational factor:
-Knowing how to arrange their working in the correct order.
II Teacher and students` preparation:
1. Method : -Communicative approach
2. Techniques: -Repetition, game, explanation, pair work ,group work.
3. Materials needed: -Cassette player, chalk, board, picture, flash card.

III/ Procedure in class:
1/ Stabilization (2 ms):
a. Warm up: -Asks the students about the weather
b. Checking absence: -Asks the monitor about the absence
“Who is absent to day?”
2/ Checking up the previous knowledge ( 5 ms)
* Questions:- Draws on the board and asks 2 sts to ask and answer about the time:
*Answers: S1: What time is it?
S2: It’s ten ten.
S2:…………………………?.....
-Teacher remarks and marks.

-Asks the sts :” What do you do every day/ every morning /every afternoon/ every evening?”
-Introduces the new lesson:
“Today, we will study the way to talk about daily activities. First we’ll study some new words.”
II/ Pre- Practice:
1. Teaches the new words :
1- every day (adv) (explanation)
2- every morning (adv) (explanation)
3-every afternoon (adv) (explanation)
4-every evening (adv) (explanation)
5-play games (picture)
6- do homework (translation)
2. Checking: Rub out and Remember.
3.Explains structures:
I get up at 6.00.

- Has the sts listen the tape 3 times .And repeat in order to know what Nga does.
-Asks them to look at the pictures to guess and then answer :”What does Nga do?”
III. Controlled- Practice :
-Asks the sts to open their book to check again what their guessing.
-Lets the sts work in pairs , one plays the role of Nga and other retells what Nga does every day.
-Calls some pair to practice in front of the class.
-Introduces the questions about every day activities.

-Asks the sts to practice asking and answering the questions A2 in pair.
