Lesson 1 : A- At the store.

I/ Aims and objectives:
* Language content :
- To give the sts a series of the new words relating to food.
- To provide the sts how to get information about buying and selling food.
*Language function :
- To help the sts to say about their needs and wishes.
*Educational aim :
- To make them aware of the importance of communication and trade.
1. Language:
a. Vocabulary: -a box of; a can of; a bar of; a packet of; a dozen; a tube of; 200 grams of; a kilo of; a bottle of; toothpaste; pea; chocolate; soap; egg; cooking oil; storekeeper.
b. Structures: - Can I help you?
2. Skills: - Integrated skills
3. Educational factor:
- Knowing to communicate in trading.
II/ Teacher and students` preparation:
1. Method : - Communicative approach.
2. Techniques: - Explanation, Repetition, using picture, game, pair work.
3. Materials needed: -Picture, cassette player, text book.
4. Students` preparation: - Prepare the lesson well before coming to class.

1/ Stabilization ( 2ms):
a. Warm up: - Greets the students.
b. Checking absence: - Asks the monitor about the absence
2/ Checking up the previous knowledge : (5 ms )
* Questions: - Calls 1 student to answer the questions:
1) What’s your favorite food?
2) Do you like cold drinks?
3) What do you like?
* Keys to questions: 1) I like………….2) Yes, I do./ No, I don’t.
3) I like……………It’s my favorite food.

I/ Lead - in :
- Shows the picture A1, Points at the man and says:” This is a storekeeper.”
- Introduces the meaning of the word Storekeeper.
- Introduces the situation of the dialogue.
II/ Pre- Practice:
- Plays the cassette 2 times. The second time stops sentence by sentence and lets the sts repeat.
- Explains the new word” cooking oil”.
- Has the sts work in pairs the dialogue.
- Calls 2 pairs to practice in front of the class.
- Shows the next picture A1b and continue to introduces the new words.
