UNIT 14: MAKING PLANS.
Lesson 1 : A- Vacation destinations.
(A1- 2- 3)
I/ Aims and objectives:
* Language content :
- To introduce the sts some new words relating to vacation destinations.
- To enable them to use “be going to”.
- To help sts to make questions with “ How long? Where? What?” Using “ Be going to”.
*Language function :
- To encourage sts to talk about their vacation and ask about other’s intention. They can also write their own plans for their vacation .
*Educational aim :
- To make sts aware of the importance of vacation.
1. Language:
a. Vocabulary: -vacation, citadel, beach, destination, bay, stay, visit
b. Structures: - What are you going to do?
I am going to visit Hue.
2. Skills: - Integrated skills
3. Educational factor:
- Knowing the way of relaxing after along time working hard.
II/ Teacher and students` preparation:
1. Method : - Communicative approach.
2. Techniques: - Explanation, Repetition, game, pair work, group work.
3. Materials needed: -Picture, cassette player, text book.
4. Students` preparation: - Prepare the lesson well before coming to class.
5. Previous exercises:
III/ Procedure in class:
1/ Stabilization ( 2ms):
a. Warm up: - Greets the students.
b. Checking absence: - Asks the monitor about the absence
2/ Checking up the previous knowledge : (5 ms )
*Questions: What do you do when it’s hot?
What weather do you like?
*Answers: Do freely.

I/ Lead - in :
- Asks sts to tell some famous vacation destinations:
“ What are you going to do this summer vacation?” (in VNames)
- Introduces the new lesson:” The conversation between Lan and Ba, they are talking about their plans for the next summer vacation”.
II/ Pre- Practice:

III/ Controlled- Practice :
- Demands sts to practice the dialogue in pairs.
- Calls some pairs to practice in front of class.
- Lets them ask and answer the questions in this section.
- Helps sts make new dialogues as they practice with their partners.
- Calls some pairs of sts . Asks them to practice the dialogues in front of class.
- Asks them to rewrite the dialogues in their notebooks.
IV/ Free- practice:
- Asks sts to do a survey around class using the following questions and fill information in the table.
