Period: 46 lesson 2 : Speak & Listen
I. Objectives :
-By the end of the lesson , Ss will be able to practice speaking about the changes of aplace.
- By the end of the lesson , Ss will be able to complete the dialogue by listening

III. Procedure.

I. Warmer:
1. Present progressive to talk about the future. to show change with get and become
He is leaving on Sunday
The climate is getting warmer
2. Comparative and super lative adjective:
The house is more expensive than the apartment
The apartment is the smallest
3.Linking verbs: followed by adiectives: to feel/seem/become/look/grow/get
II. New lesson: A. Speaking.
1. Pre- speaking
* Setting the scene “ Hoa,s grand father is 78”, five years ago , she was 73 and she was stronger than she is now .
- Ask Ss to make a sentence about her health
=> Hoa,s grand father is getting weaker
2. While – speaking :
- Ask Ss to look at the two pictures on page 73 and talk to their partners about the changes of the town . The words in the box under the pictures may help you
- Write the word prompts on the board so that Ss can speak easily
- traffic - > busy - sky
-> cloudy
- houses -> high - city -> beautiful
- trees - > green
3 Post –speaking.
- Get Ss to work in pairs
- Monitor and help Ss speak
B. Listening:
- Set the scene: “Aunt Hang is talking to Lan on the phone. She is coming to visit Lan in Ha noi.”
* Predict statements.
- Ask Ss to listen to the tape twice and find out the missing words individullly.
- Ask Ss to share their answer with the partner.
* Check prediction:
* Retell it
III. Homework
-Write some sentences, using present progressive tense to describe changes in the school
* Chatting.
- The team which talk more sentences will win the game
=> Hoa’s grand father is getting weaker
+ Form : am / is / are + V-ing
+ Use : used to describe changes with get and become
