I.Aims and objectives:
- Help Ss to practice in using -ed and -ing participles. Would you mind if. . .? Would / Do you mind + V-ing?
- Vocabulary: Revision
- Skill: + Target skill : Speaking , Writing
+ Other skills : Listening and reading
- Main teaching points: practice in writing narractive using a guided composition
- By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to use present and past paarticiple to describe things and people. And the polite requests.

3.1 Practice 1 (19’)
-T Introduces
-Ss Listen & give the ideas and draw the rules
Then copy down
Who is the man? What is he doing
?-> The man is Mr. Quang. He is walking up the stair
Look at the people in the schoolyard at Quang Trung school. Say who each person is.
- Teacher do model first
- ask ss to work in pair
- Call some ss go to the board and write their sentences
- Teacher check with whole class
How much is the old lamp ? Where was it made?
-> The old lamp is five dollars. It was made in China.
Look at this stall. Describe the goods for sales. Use the past participles of the verbs in the box.
3.2 Practice 2 (14’)
-Work with the partner to make responds or requests. Agree v, not agree x.
- Work with the partner. Look at the pictures. Ask questions and give suitable respondses. The information on the paper 100 may help you.
1 ‘ED’& ‘ ING’ participle
The man walking up the stairs is Mr Quang.
( Form: V-ing (present participle phraze)
( Usage: A present participle phraze can be used as adjective to qualify a noun with active meaning.

( Form: Regular verb+ed / Irregular verb + column 3-> past participle
(Usage:A past participle phraze can be used as adjective to qualify a noun with passive meaning.
