This report shows how the rice-cooking festival was held. The festival was held in the communal house yard about one kilometer from the river. There were three competition: water-fetching, fire-making and rice-cooking. The festival took one day. In water-fetching contest one person from each team had to run to the river to get the water. In fire-making, contest two team members had to make fire in the traditional way. They tried to rub pieces of bamboo together to make fire. Six people from each team took part in the the rice cooking contest. They had to separate rice from the husk, then cooked the rice. The festival was wonderful.
