TRADITIONS AND CUSTOMS
Every nation and every country has its own customs and traditions. In Britain, traditions play a more important part in the life of the people than in other countries. Englishmen are proud of their traditions and carefully keep them up.
An English family prefers a house with a garden to a flat in a modern house with central heating. English people like gardens. Sometimes the garden in front of the house is a little square covered with cement painted green in imitation of grass and a box of flowers.
Holidays are especially rich in old traditions and are different in Scotland, Ireland, Wales and England. Christmas is a great English national holiday, but in Scotland it is not kept at all, except by clerks in banks; All the shops, and factories are working. But six days later, on New Year’s Eve the Scotch begin to enjoy themselves.
In Britain, traditions are very important in the life of people.
Englishmen have always changed their traditions.
English families prefer living in modern flats to in houses with gardens.
Holidays aren’t the same in Scotland, Ireland,Wales and England
Christmas is the biggest holiday in Scotland.

During the teenage years, many young people can at times be difficult to talk to . They often seem to dislike being questioned. They don’t want to talk about their work in school. This is a normal development at this age , although it can be very hard for parents to understand. Young people are usually easier to talk if they believe that questions are about real interest and not because people are trying to check up on them .
Parents should do their best to talk to their sons and daughters about school work and future plans but should not push them to talk if they don`t want to . Parents should also watch for the danger signs: some young people in trying to be adult may experiment with sex, drugs, alcohol, or smoking. Parents need to watch for them and and give help when necessary.
