Use “in order (not) to / so as (not) to + V” to write purposes for the actions in the following situations.
Example:
1. I went to the post office. I wanted to post a letter.
( I went to the post office in order to (so as to) post a letter.
2. I hurried. I didn’t want to be late.
( I hurried in order not to (so as not to) be late.
I try to work hard. I want to pass the final test.
Phuc phoned me this morning. She wanted to invite me to her birthday party.
I try to be more careful. I don’t want to make any mistake.
Trang closed the door. She didn’t want to suffer from the noise outside.
I always get up early. I want to do some morning exercises before I go to school.
Complete these sentences with the correct form of the verbs given.
