Revision of unit 9
I. Objectives:By the end of the lesson ,Ss will be able to revise all the knowledge in
unit 9 and then write a short paragraph to describe people`s appearance.
II. Language focus:
1. Vocabulary: review. 2.structure:
+ tall >< short a. S+ be + adj
+ big>< small b. What color + be + N?
+ full >< thin S+ be + adj of color.
+ heavy>< light
+ strong >< weak
III. Language skills: reading ,speaking and writing.
IV. Materials: reference books.

I.Warm -up : Greetings and chattings
-Ask ss some questions.
1.How are you?
2. How do you feel now?
3. What does Tuan look like?
-> introduce the lesson.
II.Presentation:
1.present simple tense.
-Ask ss to repeat the use and form then make examples.
-check and correct
*Vocabulary:
-Revise some adjectives used to describe people`s appearnce.
-Call ss to go to the board and write .
+ tall>< short
+ big>< small
+ full >< thin
+ heavy>< light
+ strong >< weak
-read voc. again.
*Structure.
a.S+ be + adj.
Ex: she is tall
b. S + has/have + noun phrase.
EX: She has long black hair.
-Ask ss to describe their classmates.
Ex: Hoa is tall and thin but she is strong .She has short black hair, she has an oval face...................
-correct.
*Play games: " Guessing games"
-Ask ss to describe someone in the class and others guess " who is she/he?"
+ Model:
A: She is tall and thin . She has a roud face, she has a straight nose, she has full lips....
B: Is she Mai?
A. Yes, She is /No,she isn`t.
- Ask ss to work in pairs ( ask and answer about their classmates` eyes,lips,hair....)
-check and correct
III. Practice.
-Ask ss to do exercise s.
Exercise 1: Make questions " What colaor " for the words given and then answer them.
1. Mary`s eyes/blue.
2. flowers/ yellow and white.
3. That toy/orange.
4. Your house/ green.
5. Mai`s teeth/white
6. Mr.Nam`s motorbike/red.
7. Mrs. Lan`s hair/ brown.
-check and correct
Exercise 2: Complete the dialogue between Nam Na Hoa.

Hoa: That`s Miss Nhung.

Hoa: She is a singer.

Hoa: No,she isn`t .She is short.
