James lives in a small apartment in New York. He lives with two other boys. They are students at New York University. They work hard during the week, but at weekends they invite a lot of friends to their house. They cook a meal for their friends, and then they go out to the pub for a drink, or they stay at home and listen to music.
James has two jobs. On Mondays, Tuesday, and Wednesday s hw works in a hospital, where he helps to look after sick children. He goes to the hospital by bus. He starts at ten o’clock and works untill aquarter to five. On Thursday s and Friday s he works at home. He has a work processor in his bedroom and he writes stories. In the evening, one of the boys cooks a meal. After dinner they look in the newspaper to see what’s on TV or they talk about their day. They usually go to bed at about midnight.

In the summer holidays, Tan and Mai and their parents go to the beach for two weeks. They always to to Vung Tau, a famous seaside resort about 100 km from HCM City. They ususally stay in a small house or an apartment by the sea, but sometimes they stay in a hotel.
Every morning, Tan goes swimming but he doesn’t stay in the water very long because it’s very cold. Mai never swims. She plays with sand on the beach. In the afternoons, they walk in the town or in the park. In the evernings, they often go to the movies or the theater.

4. A LOVE HOUSE

Peter lives in a small house near the sea. It’s an old house, about 100 years old, and it’s very small. There are two bedrooms upstairs but no bathroom. The bathroom is downstairs next to the kitchen and there’s a living room where there’s a lovely fireplace. There’s a gardan in front of the house. The garden goes down to the beach and in spring and summer there are floweres everywhere.
Peter lives alone with hios dog, Boxes, but they have a lot of visitors. Their city friends aften stay with them.
Peter loves his house for many reasons: the garden, the flowers in summer, the fire in witer, but the best thing is the view from his bedroom window.
