I/ Objectives:
To help students know some passive forms and the way to change a sentence from active form into passive form.

Ss answer.
T writes Ss’ answer on the board.
T explains how to change sentence from active form into passive form.

Ss write their sentences on the board.

EX: People recycle drink cans.
S V O
Drink cans are recycled
S be V-ed/ V3
The passive in the present simple tense:
S + am/ is/ are + V-ed/V3 +( by O)
The passive in the past simple tense:
S + Was/ were + V-ed/V3+( by O)
The passive in the present perfect
S+ have/has + been + V-ed/V3+( by O)
The passive in the future tense:
S + will+be + V-ed/V3 +( by O)
Exercise:
Change these sentences from active form into passive form.
I/
The milkman brings bottles of milk to houses.
bottles of milk are brought to houses by the milkman..
People speak English all over the world.
English is spoken all over the world.
The workers clean the streets everyday.
The streets are cleaned everyday.
Do they teach French in this school?
Is French taught in this school?
People break the glass into small pieces.
The glass is broken into small pieces.
II/
They will build a new bridge by the end of the year.
A new bridge will be built by the end of the year.
We will grow a lot of trees in the park.
A lot of trees will be grown in the park.
