THE PRESENT PROGRESSIVE TENSE

USE:
Use to talk about actions that are happening right now
Eg: I am teaching English now. You are listening to me.
They are talking. We are writing and reading now.
Use to talk about something that is happening these days, but not necessarily right now
Eg: She is studying at MiraCosta College.












Verbs can’t be in progressive.
1 - Verb of sense
Eg: hear, smell, feel, see, taste…
2 - Verb of feeling
Eg: like, dislike,care, hate, love
3 - Certain link verb
Eg: look, seen, sound, feel…
4 - Verb of mantal activity
Eg: agree, think, believe, remember
5 - Verb of possession
Eg: have, belong, own, posses
