PASSIVE FORM
Objective: Consolidate the passive form students have studied.
Teaching aids:
Teacher: Text book, exercise book.
Students: Text book, exercise book.
Procedure:
Exercise 1: Change these sentences into the passive voice.
We clean the kitchen every day.
The mechanic checks the car engines every week.
People grow rice in these fields.
They send the goods to Vung Tau by coach.
You mustn`t use the machine for over 12 hours a day.
Nam can repair his bicycle.
Mary helps her grandmother every weekend.
The workers will build many new houses in that area next year.
Mai irons her clothes every evening.
Linda types the reports in this office.
Exercise 2: Change these passive sentences into the active voice.
Many bridges will be built by the workers next year.
Nam is going to be invited to the birthday party by Hoa.
English is taught by Miss Hong this year.
Flowers in the garden are cut by Lan`s grandmother every morning.
Rubbish mustn`t be thrown carelessly by the city residents.
Will a new school be built very soon?
These doors should be shut before 9 p.m.
A lot of work is done by the secretary every day.
Many lakes and rivers are polluted by pollution from factories.
Many trees are cut down to make paper.
Exercise 3: Write the sentences with the passive form of the verb.
