Period 1
Introduction.
I. The book of English.
There are 16 units in this book.
Each unit has three sections A, B, C which have related with each other.
Each section is learned from one to two forty –five minute period.
These are basically activities below:
Pictures help students to pay attention to the subject or content of unit.
NW and structures in parts “Listen and repeat”, “ listen and read”
Test the Ss’ understanding in parts “ Ask and answer” “ Practice with partner” “ Match” T or F”
Different kinds of exercises to practice speaking –listening- writing –reading.
“Remember” is a grammar summary.
There are different exercises in “Grammar practice “ which help Ss consolidate Grammar and Vocab.
At the end of the book ,there is “Grammar “ and “Glossary”
There is also a tape which helps Ss improve their listening skill and pronunciation.
II. The way of learning E.
Pay attention to the teacher during the lessons. Don’t be afraid of making mistake.
Learn all the new words and grammar structures by heart.
Do all the Ex. given by the teacher.
Practice listening-speaking-reading- writing frequently.
Review the old lesson carefully and read the new lesson in advance.
Don’t forget to take books and notebooks to the class.
Take part in pair work and group work actively to improve communicative skills.

I/ AIMS:
- Greeting people, introducing oneself.
- Developing listening and speaking skills.
II. OBJECTIVES:
- Grammar: To be (present simple tense) with the first and the third person (singular)
- Vocabulary: words relating to greeting and introducing oneself.
III. TEACHING AIDS:
- Pictures, cassette + tape.
IV. TEACHING WAYS:
- Role play.
- Brainstorming.
V. PROCEDURES: Presentation of the new lesson

- Ask students how to introduce themselves when they meet a new person
1- Introduce the situation
- Ask students to listen the words

- Ask some pairs to say greetings before class
- Correct their pronunciation
2- Ask students to practice greeting
one another in turns of two
- Go around the class and correct their pronunciation
- Tell students the ways to introduce their names :

- Ask students to listen part 3 on page 11
- Ask some students to read before class
- Correct their pronunciation
- Ask students to practice with a group of four
- Ask students to introduce their names one by one
