know the structures, the topics of English 7...
know how to learn English and review some techniques for teaching.
II. Teaching aids: textbook, board, chalk …
III. Time : 45mins
IV. Procedures:
1. Warm up:
Greetings and introducing.
2. Presentation:
Ask Ss some questions about the textbook 7.
Eg: - How many units are there in English 7 ?
- How many topics / themes are there in English 7 ?
a/ Personal information ( Friends, House and home)
b/ Education ( School activities , Children’s life at school)
c/ Community ( Places in the community , Neighborhood)
d/ Health (Physical comfort , Healthy living)
e/ Recreation (Sports and games, Television and radio programs)
f/ The world around us (Geography of Vietnam and some Sountheast Asian countries, People and places)
How many language focus are there in English 7 ?
Are there any new grammars in English 7 ?
What are they ?
a. Future tense: will
b. Exclamations.
c. How far is it from ............. to ............. ?
d. Past simple tense.
e. Too / So. Neither / Either.
f. Less, fewer and more. ect.
Where do you find the glossary?
Do you know “ ‘’?
What does it mean?
Introduce the lesson in each unit.
Topics - Tasks - grammars - Language focus - Language Review.
Introduce some techniques for teaching.

Prepare Unit 1: Section A (1,3) about vocabulary and how to greet people and how to answer.
PERIOD 2: UNIT ONE: back to school
Section A : FRIENDS
LESSON 1 : A 1, 3 (P.10,11)
I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson, Students will be able to :
know again how to greet each other, introduce others and identify oneself.
develop listening, speaking and writing skills.
II. Language contents:
1. Vocabulary:
classmate (n.) ( example)
meet = see (v.) (synonym)
well (adj.) = fine (synonym)
see you later. ( explanation)
2. Structures: - Nice to see you again.
- This is our new classmate. Nice to meet you.
- So am I.
III. Teaching aids: role play cards, pictures, cassette recorder + tape.
IV. Time: 45mins
V. Procedures:
1. Warm up:
Greetings.
T. comes to the class and says: “ Good morning, Welcome back to school. I’m Thao. I’m your English teacher this year. Nice to meet you.”
T. asks some Ss to say back as T. did. “ Good morning, Welcome back to school. I’m ............ Nice to meet you, too.”
2. Presentation:
Then teacher says “ Back to school” is the title of the unit 1 and writes it on the board. T. asks Ss to guess the meaning of the title.
T. presents new words.
Checking: Slap the board.
Ss look at the picture and listen the dialogue (a) in the book. Then answer the following questions. Who are talking in the dialogue? Whom of them did you know last year? Whom of them haven’t you known? ( T. can make questions in Vietnamese ).
T. gets Ss to find out new structures and their function in the dialogue (a).
3. Practice:
Ss listen and follow in the book then answer the following questions.
What are Nga, Ba and Hoa talking? -> They greet one another.
T. writes the structures on the board while Ss answer.
Nga : Hi, Ba. Nice to see you again.
Ba : Nice to see you,too.
Why does Nga say “ Nice to see you again”to Ba?
Do people say “Nice to see you again” when they meet their new friends every day.
What does Nam say to Hoa?
