I .Objectives
By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:
1. Knowledge:
- Vocabulary: remember the vocabularies which they have learnt
- Language: Further practice in: Imperative, numbers, question words, there is / there are and “to be”
2. Skills: listening, speaking, reading, writing
3. Attitude:
Ss will be able to use grammar points fluently
Ss study seriously and love studying
II. Preparations
Teacher: pictures, a poster
Students: textbook, work book, note book.
III. Anticipated problems
1.Ss may make mistakes about plural N in the question “How many……..”
2. Give Ss some examples.

I. Warm up (5’)
*Chatting:
Ss listen and answer
Grammar practice

- What’s the date ?
- Who’s absent today ?
- What’s the weather like today ?
II. NEW LESSON
1. Activity 1 (7’)
T asks Ss to retell “to be” about: form, meaning, usage
S: retell in front of the class
- Have Ss read exercises 1, 2, 3 and fill in the blanks with the correct form of “to be”
Ss work individually and compare with their partner
- feed back
2. Activity 2 (3’)
T: “open your book”. What do I say ?
Ss: you say imperative
Ss retell the imperative that they have learnt
Ss play the game: Simon says
3. Activity 3 (7’)
T: How many Ss are there in our class ?
S: There are 40 Ss
Ss retell the form of how many
Ss play the game: lucky numbers
Questions
a) How many desks are there ?
b) How many books are there ?
c) How many students are there ?
d) How many teachers are there ?
Ss play into two teams A & B ( answer the questions )
4. Activity 4 (5’)
T gives a sentence . S go to board and fill a question word in a blank
S: go to board and fill in
Ss list the question words that they have learnt
T shows some statements
Ss look at and ask the questions ( P-W )
- My name is Nam -> What’s your name ?
- I live in Ha Noi -> Where do you live ?
- That’s my brother -> Who is that ?
- He’s a student -> What does he do ?
5. Activity 5 (3’)
a) Write the words for numbers
T reads the numbers in Vietnamese
Ss listen and write the English words for numbers
b)Write the numbers for the words
T reads English words
Ss write the numbers
6. Activity 6 (3’)
T shows a dialogue on the board
Ss look at and complete the dialogue with suitable words
( P-W)

7. Activity 7 (5’)
T writes the things on the board
Ss look at the board
A student come to the front and choose one of the things. The rest of the class to guess which thing is it. The first student guess the thing correctly comes up to the front , choose a new thing & the game continues
