Describing a place
E.g.: John’s hometown
I was born in Newcastle, a city in the north-east of England. Newcastle is on the bank of the River Tyne. It is quite big, with a population of about 200,000 people.
There is a cathedral which is very famous. There are five bridges which link it to the next town.
The main industries are coal-mining and shipbuilding. Besides, the chemical and soap industries are also important.
I moved from Newcastle 10 years ago but I often return to my hometown because I really love it. I really miss the people who are really warm and friendly.
