GERUND VS. TO-INFINITIVE
1. Gerund:
* common verbs followed by gerunds: like, love, enjoy, finish, keep, mind, postpone, suggest, consider, practise, stop, try, etc.
* Common expression with GO + V-ing
go camping, go dancing, go shopping, go fishing, go swimming.
* prep. + gerund
* It’s no use | can’t help/bear/stand | It’s (not) worth, there’s no point, etc.
2. to-inf.
* expect, hope, want, decide, plan, agree, etc. (S + V + to-inf.)
* want, ask, advise, tell, request, order, etc. (S + V + O + to-inf.)
* be + pleased/willing/delighted/happy/glad/eager/ ready + to-inf.
