+ Bổ nghĩa cho danh từ chưa được xác định đứng trước, giúp làm sáng tỏ ý nghĩa của danh từ
+ Có thể lược bỏ đại từ quan hệ ở vị trí tân ngữ.
+ Ngăn cách với mệnh đề chính bởi dấu phẩy.
