Tet is a national and family festival.
 Tet is the time to people huddled, talking the work done was in the old year.
Tet is the time people will put the goal in the new year, fix the mistake that you made.

Ancestor worship
 Ancestor worship is a beautiful tradition of Vietnamese people on Tet holiday.
 All family members will gather together to worship, reminisce about their ancestors and wish good luck for a brand new year.

2. Lucky money
During the first three days of the year, Vietnamese people wish good luck to each other and lucky money is given to children by older family members. These red envelopes embody the best wishes for children’s health and intelligence.

3. First footing
First footing is a unique and meaningful tradition during Lunar New Year.
Every Vietnamese family will choose someone with humour, generosity and elegance to be the first visitor. We believe that the first-foot represents how our next year will be.

4. Traditional clothes
Ao Dai considered Vietnamese clothes especially women
It has a long history of development since the 18th century.
Ao Dai is a long-sleeved tunic with ankle-length panels at front and back, worn over trousers
 Wearing Ao Dai, women dignify their body’s attraction as well as reflect a national culture.
It can be designed with several colors, patterns such as:
flower, nature and different kind of fabrics.

5. Lion dance
 Lion dance was previously limited to sacred places like temples, pagodas etc.
 Nowadays, it could be performed in public places for general audience. Lion dance is an exciting and joyful activity to welcome a happy and successful year.

 Chung cake
 Pickled onion
 Steamed sticky rice 
 Jellied meat
 Lean pork paste
 "Pig trotters stew with dried bamboo shoots”
