I. Let’s play a game:
The rules of the game
After watching the pictures, each of two teams send representatives (one by one) to stick three cards to the suitable pictures.
After 1 minute, the team that has more correct answers is the winner.

New vocabulary

= renew, surface again
+ canal / kә’næl /(n)
= man-made waterway for irrigation.
Ex: The Suez Canal joins the Mediterranean and the Red Sea.

muddy (adj)
Ex: The roads are muddy when it rains.
+ cash crops (n) =
crops grown for selling or exporting, rather
than for use by the person who grows it.

Match the plans with the possible results
III.TASK 2: (Pair work)
Making a conversation about our plans and possible results
Ex: A: What do you think we should do first?
B: ( I think ) we should widen the roads first.
A: That’s a good idea.
If we widen the roads , cars and lorries can get to our village.
If + S + V (s/es), + S + will / can / may/ ... + V
TASK 3: (Group work)
Rules:
- Work in four groups, each group chooses 1 commune to talk about.
- Give the facts about the commune and discuss about the plans to
improve the life of the people in the commune in ...3.... minutes.
- Then representative of each group will deliver a speech about your
discussion.
The group with the best speech will be the winner.
Answer the question:
T : How may communes are there in Thach That District now?
23: ( 20 in Thach That before August 1st and 3 others from Luong Son District, Hoa Binh Province ( Yen Trung, Yen Binh and Tien Xuan).
Ss:
You are a pupil now.
What must you do to improve the people’s life later?
