Because people don’t have to go out to watch TV. They don’t have to pay for expensive seats at the theatre or in the cinema. And there is no transport to arrange.
They can see plays, films of every kind, political discussions and football matches.
Because they need to do nothing. They don’t even use their legs and make no choice. Everything is presented to them.

TV will begin to dominate our lives, and we don’t have time to talk to each other and do other things.
TV, itself, is neither good nor bad. TV is as good or bad as we make it.
