I/ Presentation
1.Who : được làm chủ ngữ hoặc tân ngữ thay cho danh từ chỉ người
Ex: Jack is the boy who plays the guitar
2. Whom : có thể được dùng làm tân ngữ thay cho who ( được dùng trong lối nói trang trọng )
Ex: The boy whom we are looking for is Tom
3.Which : được dùng làm chủ ngữ hoặc tân ngữ thay cho danh từ chỉ vật hoặc sự việc
Ex: She works for a company which makes washing machines

4.That : được dùng thay cho danh từ chỉ người hoặc vật . That có thể được dùng thay cho who, which, whom trong mệnh đề xác định (defining relative clauses)
Ex: I don`t like the story that /which have unhappy endings .
*Bắt buộc sử dụng "that" khi nó thay thế cho tính từ so sánh ở bậc nhất ( the best, the most interesting.), everybody, everything, anything, nothing, something., sau all, mush, little, any, none,.
Ex: He`s the best teacher that I have ever known.
5. Whose : được dùng để chỉ sự sở hữu cho danh từ chỉ người hoặc vật đứng trước . Danh từ sau whose không có mạo từ .
Ex: What is the name of the man whose car you borrowed ?
