Warm up:
T asks Sts some questions:
Do you like watching films?
How often do you watch film?
Have you ever go to the cinema?
T invites Ss to join a simple activity: Funny Cinema.

- T plays the trailers of 8 films.
- T pauses after each kind of films and asks Sts how they fell about this kind of film by ticking at the column “ very much”, “not very much” , or “not at all”.
- T introduces the lesson: unit 13: film and cinema

Before speaking
Instruction: you have just seen some trailers. How do you feel about this kind of film and how to express your feeling? Let’s move to task 1.
Task 1: Asking about feelings.
T gives some structures and explain them:
“How much do you like … ?”
I like ….very much.
I do not like …so much.
I do not like …at all.
T asks sts to work with a partner, asking and answering questions and filling in the blank.
T calls some sts to ask and answer following the model.
T can check by asking a few sts about their partners.
While speaking
Instruction: we have study the way to express your own feelings about film. And now, we’ll continue the lessons by studying the way to ask about your partner’s feelings as well as using adj to express your emotion.
Task 2: asking about your partner’s feelings
T firstly asks Sts to read and give the meaning of some adjs:
Interesting:
Moving
Good fun
Violent
Boring
Exciting
Terrifying
T then give some more adj:
Amusing
Fascinating
Horrifying
T introduces the structures to express the feeling:
S+ find(s)+ st+ Adj
T gives example:
EX: I find horror films fascinating.
T asks one or two Sts to make sentences with this structure.


T gives the structure of agreement and disagreement.
Agreement
Disagreement

Exactly!
I agree.
Right!
Sure!
I do not think so.
Yes, but…
Do you think so?
You can’t be serious.
You must be kidding.

T gives the models and read it aloud:
EX: A: What do you think of horror films?
B: I find them terrifying.
A: I don’t quite agree with you. I find them very interesting.
T and one St to make sentences first.

T then asks Sts to work in group and use this structure to practice.
Two or three groups will report and T gives the feedback.
Instruction: you like comedy, and you like horror much more. So how can you say? Let’s move to task 3.
Task 3: preference finding
T gives the structure:
S prefers st to st.
EX:I prefer romantic films to action film.
T gives the model:
EX: A: which do you prefer, detective film or science fiction films?
B: well, it’s difficult to say. But I suppose I prefer science fiction films to detective ones.
T calls 2 Sts to read the model and asks class to work in group of three Sts in three mins.
T goes around and helps
