e.g1: She has lived in New York ............ seven years.
2, The present perfect with since, for :
e.g2: She has lived in New York ............ seven years ago.
since
for
->since: + a point in time ( 1999, two weeks ago , we first came here...)
->for + a period of time ( three years, ages, .....)
3, The simple past with “ ago” :
e.g: We last saw each other two days ago.
A period of time + ago ( many years ago, three weeks ago, ...)
Exercise 2: Complete the sentences using for, since or ago:
e.g1: Because of the cold weather, she is wearing warm clothes.
e.g2: In spite of the cold weather, they are eating ice- cream.
