By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
- Distinguish the clusters /kl/, /gl/, /kr/, /gr/ and /kw/.
- Pronounce the words and dialogue containing these clusters correctly.
- Use conditional sentences (types 1; 2 and 3) and conditional sentences in reported speech appropriately.

B: No, he doesn’t. He quarrelled with Greg. He

CONDITIONAL SENTENCE IN REPORTED SPEECH
E.g: "If the weather is fine this weekend, we will go for a picnic" he said.
=> He said if the weather were fine that weekend, we would go for a picnic.
E.g: "If I had enough money, I would buy a new motorbike" he said.
=> He said if he had enough money, he would buy a new motorbike.
"If she had studied her lesson, she wouldn`t have got bad mark" he said.
=> He said if she had studied her lesson, she wouldn`t have got bad mark.
- Simple present tense => simple past
Change of tenses:
Will/can/may + V(inf) => Would/could/might + V(inf)
- Must/have to + V(inf) => had to + V(inf)
- Is/are going to + V(inf) => was/were going to + V(inf)
Change of demonstrative pronouns:
- This => That
- These => those
Now => Then / at that time
Today => That day
Tomorrow => The following day / the next day
- Next + time => The following + time
e.g: Next week => The following week
Here => there
Change of adverbials of time and place:

Examples:
+> " If I were you, I wouldn`t buy that coat," she said.
=> She said (that) if she were me, she woudn`t buy that coat.
+> "I will come to see you, if I have time," the man said to her.
=> The man told her (that) he would come to see her if he had time.
1. "I will come to see you if I have time," the man said to her.
=> The man told her that he would come to see her if he had time.
Exercise 3
2. " What would you do if someone stepped on your feet?" he asked her.
=> He asked her what she would say if someone stepped on her feet.
3. "If it doesn`t rain, we will go out with you," they said to me.
=> They told me that if it didn`t rain they would go out with me.
4. "What would you do if you were a billionaire?" the man asked the woman.
=> The man asked the woman what she would do if she were a billionaire.
