I. Aims:
By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:
-use the structures “ there’s, there’re” to describe a scene or a place.
-know some prepositions of position.
-talk about their own home.
-ask and answer where things are.

-Ask: Do you like gangster movies or stories?
-Invite Ss to talk about favourite films.
-Ask Ss to look at the pictures and talk about what is happening.
-Read the conversation and ask Ss to identify the correct picture
-Ask Ss to read the conversation and invite them to add the short form.
-Invite Ss to supply the negative form.
-Ask Ss to find questions.
-Write the sentences up and ask to supply the questions and short answers.
-Requite Ss to look at the pictures.
-Go round the class inviting Ss to complete the sentences.
-Check the answers.
-Play the taper for Ss to listen and answer the questions.
-Divide class into pairs to complete their answers.
-Have Ss to look at the pictures and read through the prepositions.
-Guide Ss to write sentences using each preposition.
-Go around checking answers.
-Require Ss to look at the pictures and name the rooms and things.
-Divide Ss into pairs to describe the rooms.
-Write the two questions on:
+Is the house very big?
No. It’s quite big.
+Is the school very new?
No. It’s quite new.
-Explain use of the word.
-Refer s to the rules for quite in grammar.
-Ask: Where do you live?
-Ask Ss to look at the pictures and talk where people live.
-Guide Ss match the descriptions with each pictures.
-Check the answers.
-Ask Ss to look at the pictures and talk about the conversations they expect to hear.
-Play the tape for Ss to listen and check their ideas.
-Play again for Ss to listen and match the items with the pictures.
*Consolidation:
-Summarize the main points.
-Assign homework.
-Give answers.
-Look at the pictures and talk:
