I: + Forms and Examples:
1: S + V + O + Prep + V-ing
Ex: She thanked him for helping her.

2: S + V + Prep + V-ing
Ex: She apologised for being late.

3: S + V + V-ing
Ex: He suggested going to the beach.

Reported speech with Gerund
II: Usage: We use reported speech with Gerund in order to report apology, accusation, suggestion, admittance, thanks. (để báo cáo lại 1 lời xin lỗi, 1 lời đề nghị, 1 lời chấp thuận hay 1 lời cảm ơn...)

Verbs:
III: Note: Change Subject Pronouns, Object pronouns,
Possessive adjectives,... in reported speech
- First person (I , We) → S
- Second person (You) → O
- Third person (He, she, it, they) → unchanged
Change the verb tense if the introducing verb is in past tense.
“You didn’t pay attention to what I said,” the teacher said to him
→ The teacher accused him of not paying attention to what she had said.
