WHILE YOU READ
Dear Minh,
I`m writing to tell you a piece of news. The first term is coming to an end soon and my school is going to have some days off. On this occasion, my class is visiting some caves near Hanoi as we have recently studied rock formations. Besides, many of us have never been inside a cave, so I suppose the trip will be very interesting.
At first, we wanted to travel to Thay Pagoda because it is only over 20 kilometres away, and we could go on a day excursion.
However, only today have we learnt that the caves near Thay Pagoda are closed until after Tet. So we are visiting the ones near Huong Pagoda instead. A night campfire on a two-day trip will be a great event in our schooldays. To make the trip cheap, we are bringing our own food and sharing buses with some other classes.
It is much warmer now. I believe we`re going to enjoy good weather with lots of sunshine.
The only problem I seem to have is getting my parents` permission. They may not want to let me stay the night away from home. I`ll try to persuade them.

Lễ hội chùa Hương kéo dài từ Mồng 6 tháng Giêng đến hết tháng 3 Âm Lịch, và cao điểm là từ rằm tháng Giêng đến hết ngày 20 tháng 2 AL Hội chùa Hương diễn ra trên địa bàn xã Hương Sơn, trong địa phận huyện Mỹ Đức, tỉnh Hà Tây cách trung tâm Hà Nội khoảng 70km. Xã gần sáu thôn: Tiên Mai, Phú Yên, Hội Xá, Đục Khê, Yến Vĩ và Hạ Đoàn. Chùa Hương là một tập hợp nhiều động, nhiều chùa trong một tổng thể cấu trúc kết hợp vừa thiên nhiên, vừa nhân tạo bao gồm núi, đồi, hang, động, suối rừng, chùa tháp... mà đẹp nhất là động Hương Tích, vốn được bình chọn là danh lam thắng cảnh của Việt Nam.
Nằm xa xa thủ đô, cách khoảng 20km, bạn sẽ bắt gặp Chùa Thầy yên bình với những dòng nước tươi xanh, mát rượi. Chỉ nghe câu:
"Trai chưa vợ nhớ hang Cắc Cớ
Gái chưa chồng nhớ hội Chùa Thầy"
đủ thấy Chùa Thầy có sức cuốn hút như thế nào.
Chùa Thầy - có tên chữ là Thiên Phúc tự, nằm gối đầu vào núi Phật Tích, còn gọi là núi Thầy - thuộc xã Sài Sơn, huyện Quốc Oai, Hà Nội.
Chùa Thầy có ba tòa nằm song song với nhau, toà ngoài gọi là nhà tiền tế hay chùa Hạ. Toà giữa là trung điện hay chùa Trung, toà trong cùng là thượng điện, thờ các hóa thân của thiền sư Từ Đạo Hạnh, diễn tả ba "kiếp" của Từ Đạo Hạnh: Tăng, Phật và Đế vương. Phía sau chùa có lầu chuông, lầu trống. Phía trước chùa là sân rộng nhìn ra hồ Long Chiểu.
