Khi who/which/that đóng vai trò túc từ, ta có thể bỏ nó.
NOTE
Ex: The book (which/that) you gave me is very interesting.
Những trường hợp bắt buộc dùng “THAT”
Sau mệnh đề so sánh nhất
EX: This is the most interesting book that I have ever read.
Sau “ all, everything, little, much, none, no one, nobody, everyone” thường dùng THAT thay cho WHO, WHOM, WHICH
EX: All the apples that fall are eaten by the pigs.
NOTE
Không được dùng THAT:
Trong mệnh đề không giới hạn ( khi bỏ đi 1 mệnh đề không ảnh hưởng đến ý nghĩa của câu),câu có dấu phẩy
Chủ từ, túc từ trong mệnh đề quan hệ là tên riêng, danh từ riêng, danh từ sở hữu
