1- Make a list of the activities you usually do every day.
For example: - play football
- listen to music
2- Ask your friends which activities he/she thinks would be difficult for dumb, blind and deaf people.
- dumb ( people can`t speak)
- blind ( people can`t see)
- deaf ( people can`t listen)
Example: Which activities would be difficult for dumb, deaf and blind people ?
Answer: I think the activities would be difficult for dumb, deaf and blind people are listening to music...

Fill each of the blanks of the summary below with a suitable word from the reading passage.
Twenty-five (1) children have the change of learning how to (2) and (3) thanks to the (4) of a young teacher, Pham Thu Thuy.
Although her idea, at first, met with (5) from the parents of the disabled children, more children attended her class later.
The teaching work in the special class is (6) . For example, in a (7) lesson, the teacher has to use her (8) and (9) to teach the children how to add and subtract. The children are now (10) and happy.

Pham Thu Thuy is a teacher, but she is different from other teachers, she teaches 25 disabled children. Some of them are dumb, some blind and others deaf. They are less mentally developed children than normal. They come from large and poor families.
In the first week, only 5 children attended her class. Gradually, more children arrived. To teach these disabled children, Thuy has to take a lot of time and has many difficulties in teaching them how to read, write. She has to use her arms and fingers to teach them how to add, subtract. They are very proud of her efforts and they realise that a new world is opening up for them.
