Những từ tận cùng bằng các đuôi: -SION, -(A)TION, -IOUS, -IAL, -IC(S), -CIAN, -ITY, -ETY, -LOGY-> trọng âm sẽ rơi vo âm tiết ngay trước nó.
Ex: staTistics, ecoNomic, deCision, proTection, susPicious, oFficial, mathemaTician

2. Những từ tận cùng bằng đuôi: -AL, -ATE, -TUDE, -> trọng âm rơi vo âm tiết thứ 3 từ đuôi trở lại.
Ex: Critical, ecoNomical, biOlogy, Chemistry
3. Những từ có đuôi như sau: -EE, -EER, -ETTE, -OO, -OON, -ESE, -AIRE, -ADE, -AIN, -ESQUE -> trọng âm sẽ rơi vo chính các đuôi này.
